Who else is enjoying Brussels sprout season as much as I am? Right now, I can’t get enough of crispy oven-roasted Brussels sprouts!
The interplay of savory and crispy elements makes oven-roasted Brussels sprouts a real highlight, whether as a side to main courses or as a delicious snack in between.
Ingredients
- 500g fresh Brussels sprouts, cleaned and halved
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 50g grated vegan Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Prepare Brussels sprouts: Wash, clean, and halve the Brussels sprouts. Remove any large outer leaves.
- Spicy mixture: In a bowl, mix olive oil, chopped garlic, paprika powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate Brussels sprouts: Toss the Brussels sprout halves in the spicy mixture until evenly coated.
- Spread on the baking sheet: Spread the marinated Brussels sprouts on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Stir occasionally to ensure even browning.
- Serve: Optionally, sprinkle with vegan Parmesan.
- Enjoy: Serve the crispy oven-roasted Brussels sprouts warm and enjoy!
